Applications of Sacred Music

Sound and Spirituality

The deeper you explore the mysteries of life, the more you will find that its whole secret is hidden in words. Everything comes from words. That is why St. John revealed that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God...," No one can deny the miraculous cures obtained by prayers, chanting, listening to sacred music and other forms of sound therapy.  The real power of words has been known to yogis, Kabbalists and mystics down through the ages. All spiritual practices are based upon the science of the word or sound. It is by sound, in sound and through sound that all things, seen and unseen, have been created. Sound is the highest principle in spirituality because it has the ability to completely heal and revitalize the autonomic nervous system. Sound allows us to merge with our soul, our limitless supply of energy and healing, our totality. By working with sacred music you can easily tap into the pure and unmatched healing power of sound and establish a direct connection with your soul.

The Secret Behind the Repetition of Words

Nature has a safety mechanism, which can only be bypassed by the act of repetition. The minimum time to bypass this mechanism is anywhere from 40 to 120 days, based upon your level of consciousness. For instance, if in an effort to improve yourself, you play a CD that repeats, "Every day and in every way, I am getting better and better, God and me, me and God are one," after a while your psyche will override the safety mechanism put in place by nature to protect us and begin to assume that this desire is what you really need. It will then change from its previous pattern to the new suggested one. Conversely, when we allow reoccurring thoughts of anxiety, doubt, hatred, anger and/or fear to invade our mind we begin to create the conditions that allow such thoughts to manifest, either as limiting life circumstances or health challenges. That is why disease or adversity begins in the mind. The mantras and words of power recorded on the Rootlight Sacred Music Series are potent spiritual tools that allow powerful, positive, Divine suggestions to continuously enter our subconscious mind. In turn, this releases the negative influences that bind us. Simply listening to sacred music will warm your heart, soothe your soul and stimulate concentration and creativity. If you want to fully experience the healing benefits of sacred music, however, we encourage you to incorporate it into your own meditation practice.

Mantra and Reflexology

There are reflex points all around the mouth, but above all, there are 84 energy points inside the palate. When we speak, the tongue gently presses on these points, but in no specific order. Mantra differs from regular speech in that it causes the tongue to repeatedly press on these points in a special sequence, which is similar to dialing a code on a touchpad. The result is an activation of specific energy channels or meridians in the body, which in turn produces the results embedded in the mantra. For example, by repeating or chanting Ra Ma Da Sa, a mantra designated for healing, we cause the hypothalamus, which sits above the upper palate, to be put into a healing vibratory state. This in turn causes all the homeostatic functions of the body to become balanced, including blood pressure, heart rate, breath and temperature. In essence, knowing the correct code, or mantra, can cause anyone to effect extraordinary changes in his/her body and life.
